How to Import a Game Schedule into SportsEngine
SportsEngine HQ supports CSV schedule imports, but the required file format depends on which SportsEngine scheduling experience your organization uses. TeamReady's SportsEngine preset gives you the confirmed game data as a name-based CSV starting point; SportsEngine may require field additions or mapping before upload.
For current Season Management, SportsEngine requires Game rows to include Event Type, Date, Start Time, End Time, Home Team, and Away Team. Home and Away Teams use the format Division Name > Team Name.
How do I export the schedule from TeamReady?
- Open Manager → Game Schedule.
- Choose Export confirmed games.
- Select the date range.
- Choose All Divisions or one Division.
- Choose SportsEngine.
- Download the CSV.
The TeamReady SportsEngine preset contains Date, Start Time, End Time, Home Team, Away Team, Division, and Location.
Can you import the TeamReady CSV directly into SportsEngine?
Not always. In Season Management, add an Event Type column with Game on each row and make sure Home Team and Away Team match SportsEngine's required Division Name > Team Name format. If the importer asks you to match headers, map the TeamReady columns to the equivalent SportsEngine fields.
If your organization uses Sport Management → Schedule Upload, SportsEngine uses a different template and Team/Division ID workflow. Download SportsEngine's Schedule Upload Template and copy or map the TeamReady values into that template.
How do I import a schedule into SportsEngine Season Management?
- In SportsEngine HQ, go to Competition → Season Management.
- Open the correct season and choose Schedule.
- Open the three-dot menu and choose Import Schedule.
- Prepare the CSV with SportsEngine's required fields.
- Choose Get Started.
- Choose Choose File and upload the CSV.
- Match the column headers.
- Correct any validation errors.
- Choose Generate Schedule.
- When complete, choose Finish.
What setup is required first?
Create the relevant Teams and Divisions in SportsEngine before import. If you use venues, create or assign the correct Venue/Sub-Venue as well.
Why did my SportsEngine schedule import fail?
- Event Type is missing or is not
Game. - Home or Away Team does not match
Division Name > Team Name. - A Team or Division does not already exist.
- Date or time formatting is invalid.
- Venue/Sub-Venue values do not match.
- You are using the Sport Management upload workflow with a Season Management-format file, or vice versa.
Can TeamReady sync directly with SportsEngine?
No. TeamReady currently provides a CSV handoff, not a direct SportsEngine API sync.
